The Midwest showed up heavy for this year’s Skate Midwest at Q Skatepark. Riders from across the region packed the park for two straight days of transition, street skating, mini-ramp destruction, and community energy that reminded everyone why skateboarding continues to grow year after year. The 3rd Annual Skate Midwest skateboarding event is set for May 8 & 9 at Q skatepark in Indianapolis. Located just minutes southwest of downtown Indy. Skate Midwest kicks off on Friday, May 8th in the evening with a Game of Skate contest. Saturday, May 9th the events start at 12:30pm with Skate League and then also consist of an open Mini-ramp jam and open Skate Street competition. Skate League is back this Saturday at Q skatepark 2/21 at 12:30pm in the street room. This event will put skaters in teams of three and they will compete in four challenges and earn points. Highest team total wins. This is for boys 15 and under and girls 17 and under. Skaters will be tested on their speed, ability to ollie, manuals and ramps tricks.
